Nike continue to add more models to the Terrascape family, but the Air Max Plus iteration is still one of the more compelling remixes. Building on the OG blueprints of Sean McDowell’s beachside classic, the Air Max Terrascape Plus has been retooled to meet the demands of 2022, with at least 20 per cent recycled materials by weight. The speckles in the rubber outsoles are made from Nike grind, which is recycled waste from the footwear manufacturing process.

These eco-conscious considerations of course join the more salient design characteristics of the OG Air Max Plus, including the prominent TPU arches (inspired by a whale's tail) and iconic TPU fingers – originally intended to resemble palms trees in the wind! Originally designed for running, the Terrascape also features the legendary Tuned Air cushioning system popularised in the 1990s.

For their latest rendition, the Swoosh have entirely ‘murdered-out’ the silhouette’s uppers, the lights-out composition perfect for inclement weather.

The Nike Air Max Terrascape Plus ‘Triple Black’ is expected to land at Nike over the coming weeks.
