Nike Practise Tiger Style on the Air Max Plus

Orange will forever be associated with the Nike Air Max Plus due to the tough ‘Tiger’ palette that is so beloved by TN-heads. This upcoming combo evokes shades of 1998, while putting its own tangy twist on the popular debut release.

The original TNs featured a smooth gradient treatment, but this version opts for solid colours and open-celled netting for extra ventilation. A black trim consisting of plastic toe and heel bumpers and a synthetic mudguard borders the bright orange mesh nicely. That being said, there are still elements that adhere to catalogue conventions. The design’s distinct TPU ribbing retains a gradient, starting with tonal orange at the base before fading into a black abyss across the toe box. The finish is repeated on the arch plate.

Looking soleside reveals additional details, namely the contrasting coloured forefoot traction pods in yellow, and the medial heel Tuned Air columns lit up in orange next to the crash pad. Like most AMPs, the visible Air units are also shaded to match the main accent.

Find this new Air Max Plus at Nike retailers in coming months.
