Update August 14, 2023: Ahead of the France-exclusive release this week, Nike have released official imagery of the Air Max Plus 'Marseille'. Peruse the shots above ahead of the August 17 drop and wider EU drop on August 24.

This year has already seen stacks of fresh Nike Air Max Plus iterations, and it seems like things are only just starting to heat up. In addition to brand new GR iterations, there’s been plenty of exclusives. Recently, Foot Locker launched the intergalactic ‘Nep-Tuned’, which featured a palette of frosty blue hues. There’s also been plenty of retros as well, including the re-upped ‘Rainbow’ harking from 1999, which did not stay on shelves for long, plus rumours that the iconic ‘Hyper Blue’ could be making a grand return too.

Just surfaced is set to be one of the coldest Air Max Plus drops of the year so far, dubbed the ‘Marseille’. Of course the colourway will be dropping exclusively via Foot Locker, meaning that access to them will be limited to those in the allocated region. There’s plenty of detail to peruse across the ‘Marseille’, from the construction to the palette. You’ll notice that the pair have a specialised set of ‘veins’ which fade in a gradient fashion from light blue to clear. Underneath the uppers feature a grid-like pattern, along with text found along the throat. The ‘whale tail’ also bears a gradient fade in the same shades of white and blue.

The Nike Air Max Plus ‘Marseille’ will launch exclusively via Foot Locker France on August 17, followed by a wider release across Europe on August 24.
