Is the Nike Air Max Plus ‘Hyper Blue’ Returning?

There are plenty of great Nike Air Max Plus colourways, but few compare to the ‘Hyper Blue’. Originally released in 1998, the serene TN colourway was one of the OGs that was designed by Sean McDowell. Emblazoned with eye-catching blue uppers and yellow Swoosh to boot, the Tuned silhouette has never looked so good. Following Sunday’s Air Max Day celebrations, rumours have begun to circulate, alleging that the ‘Hyper Blue’ will return in 2024.

It’s been five years since the last retro when the trio of OG colourways was released for the TN’s 20th anniversary in 2018. Although that may not feel like long ago, this year actually marks the silhouette’s 25th, so theoretically, it would make sense for Team Swoosh to celebrate. The last retro before the 2018 release happened in 2014 and, to this day, remains a highly sought-after iteration.

So far, this news is just rumoured at this point, with @bubblekoppe leading the charge. No imagery of the 2024 pair has surfaced as of yet either, but you can expect similar details to the 2018 pair. But here’s hoping they come with a more accurate gradient upper and Tuned laces!

No release date has been locked in, but so far, the source alleges that they’ll touch down in select regions across the EU in mid-2024.
