This Nike Air Max Plus 'Grape' Pays Homage to the Air Jordan 5

Update March 23, 2022: Official images of the Nike Air Max Plus 'Grape' have arrived! The new colourway is expected to land in the coming weeks.
In many countries around the globe the Nike Air Max Plus is a staple silhouette that gets released in plenty of colourways on a regular basis. Team Swoosh also enjoy dressing their legendary TN in themed iterations, we were recently blessed with a ‘France’ colourway, which is fitting as the French have a special relationship with the shoe, affectionately referring to it as ‘requins’. The latest from the big bubbled beauty has been dubbed the ‘Grape’ and has been allegedly inspired by the 1990 Air Jordan 5 of the same name.
Utilising the (Air) max tooling, Team Swoosh has added a gradient effect to the veins going from a deep purple to a translucent white. They’ve tried to replicate the colour-blocking used on the 90s AJ5, laying a white mesh as the base and adding purple to the mudguard. Just like the heel section of the Jordan Brand iteration, the rear section of the TN has been blacked out. Teal has been added to the mid-foot section, Swoosh and tongue liner.
