Update November 4, 2022: The Nike Air Max Penny 1 ‘Rattan’ lands on November 16 via SNKRS!

The Nike Air Max Penny 1 has surged back into the cultural spotlight in 2022, Penny Hardaway’s debut signature shoe recently remastered by James Whitner’s Social Status – also appearing in its indelible OG ‘Orlando’ colourway.

The Air Max Penny 1 has now surfaced in a brand new ‘Rattan’ colourway, the model dressed in ‘Black’, ‘Summit White’, ‘Ale Brown’, and of course its titular hue. Constructed in a mix of mesh, leather, nubuck and suede materials, the colourway replaces the classic braided piping with a much thicker, brown-hued edition.

Of course, all of the hallmarks of the legendary 1990s hoops sneaker remain in place, including the jewel Swooshes, a 3/4 height collar and Air Max unit. Down below, rubber outsoles also provide durability and traction.
