As you may have noticed, Nike has been starting fictional clubs and recruiting plenty of their most iconic silhouettes to join the fun. We’ve already seen the ‘Athletic Club’, consisting of Dunks and Air Force 1s, the ‘Running Club’ hosting the Air Max Plus and AM90, and finally the ‘Sun Club’, which just enlisted the Air Max 97.
This isn’t the first ‘Sun Club’ iteration we’ve seen, as a few Dunk Lows and an AF-1 Mid are already active members. The AM97 follows a similar maximalist script to its predecessors, with each panel boasting vibrant hues of blue, salmon and purple. Along the medial midfoot and insole is Nike’s 'Move to Zero' logo, which means the shoe was made with sustainability principles in mind.
No word has come through on a release date for the Nike Air Max 97 ‘Sun Club’ but keep an eye on your local Swoosh stockist as they should be hitting shelves soon.
