The Nike Air Max 97 Has Been Dressed in Black and Purple

The Nike Air Max 97 has low key been having an epic 2022! Since its resurrection in 2017 for its 20th anniversary, it’s become an easy go-to model for the wider sneaker audience. The big-bubbled beauty is constantly stocked in sneaker stores and there’s always a steady influx of GR colourways for everyone to enjoy.

This year, celebrating 25 years on Earth, the Air Max 97 has been decked out in a swathe of epic colour combos, from the ‘Metallic Silver’ to the ‘Zebra’, Team Swoosh fans just can’t get enough of the 97! There’s even been talk about the ‘Silver Bullet’ returning but that’s all just rumour at this point. Next up to land at your local is a new Grade School colourway, and while it has no official name it’s looking good in a multi-tone combination. The material mix is crisp, utilising black canvas and nylon ripstop fabric while purple suede hits reach the sides. An army green tone has been wrapped around the top half and rounding it out is the purple Air unit and specialised tongue branding.

No word has come through on an exact release date for this Grade School Air Max 97, however the launch of official imagery could mean it’s not too far away.
