The Nike Air Max 95 has retained a strong presence in the sneakersphere since its arrival in the mid-90s, Sergio Lozano famously taking cues from the human anatomy.

While it’s been quite some time since the silhouette has been tapped for a collaboration (the Japanese kingpins Comme des Garçons were the last to overhaul Lozano’s model), the Air Max 95 continues to arrive in a myriad of in-house colourways, recent designs taking notes from fruit and veg like ‘Lemon Lime’ and ‘Dark Beetroot’.

The latest Air Max 95 to arrive is an icy rendition perfect for heavy rain clouds above, the mesh and suede, muscle-like uppers this time deployed in blue. The rib-inspired lacing system is rendered in black and white, while the outsoles – taking aesthetic cues from the human spine – appears in crisp white. Blessed with all of its heritage ‘Air Max’ and ‘Nike Air’ branding, the colourway ostensibly leverages the coveted ‘UNC’ colourways, although a direct lineage is not terminologically referenced.

Look for the Nike Air Max 95 ‘Ice Blue’ to land over the coming weeks.

In the meantime, check out how the model infiltrated the UK grime scene in the early 2000s.
