Earth Day is slowly approaching and every year sneaker brands like to participate in the events that help support environmental protection. Usually this will involve a collection or special collaboration that highlights the importance of taking care of earth or getting involved in sustainable practices. Following 2019’s Steve Harrington colab, Nike is back for Earth Day 2022 with an Air Max 95 that’s decked out in an eclectic material mix.
Reminding us of the recent ‘Ironstone’ iteration, this latest Earth Day-themed joint has used the AM95 tooling efficiently, covered in different fabrics creating a heavy textured vibe. The toe cap, lowest and middle panels have been dressed in a textured dark suede or suede-like textile. Next up, the other slimmer panels and tongue have been dressed in a light canvas while the midsection boasts wide netting. Other intriguing details include the hemp laces and embroidered flower on the tongue.
Earth Day will occur on April 22 and this Nike Air Max 95 may be dropping around that time. Official imagery has come through, confirming that this pair is coming, however we’re waiting for Team Swoosh to officially announce a drop date. Stay tuned!
