Nike continues to lead the pack when it comes to sustainable sneakers, dressing many of their fan-favourite silhouettes in recycled materials as part of their ‘Move to Zero’ campaign. Next on the list to be decked out in reclaimed regalia is the Air Max 95, boasting a fresh take dubbed ‘Air Sprung’. As well as a heater colour combo, it’s been blessed with subtle graphic details reminiscent of last year’s ‘Happy Pineapple’.

Peeping through the outsole and behind the Nike Air logo are a bunch of mushrooms with ultra-cute Swoosh smiley faces! Elsewhere, on the tongue is custom Air Sprung branding with caterpillar and butterfly embroidered graphics. The material mix is quite striking, with what looks like linen or canvas on multiple panels while the usual leather toe remains. The full-length Air-injected unit has been coloured green complementing the Swoosh and eyestays.

The Nike Air Max 95 ‘Air Sprung’ is sustainably swaggy and should arrive in the coming few months.
