There’s no denying it: GORE-TEX is still the ultimate flex. Beloved by hardcore hikers and sneakerheads alike, the waterproof, breathable tech continues to feature prominently in the sneakersphere, with recent models like the Air Jordan 5 ‘Off-Noir’ and Air Jordan 1 ‘Light Curry’ reflective of its indomitable staying power.

While a historic heat wave sweeps Europe, it looks like the Swoosh are preparing for the colder months ahead – the Nike Air Max 90 the latest model to come equipped with GORE-TEX. In terms of composition, the colourway adopts colder hues reminiscent of the rainy weather, with early leaks suggesting a ‘Black’, ‘Tour Yellow’, ‘Cargo Khaki’, and ‘Iron Grey’ palette.

The stealthy colourway is enforced with GORE-TEX textile at the tongues and collars, while leather strikes the toes. Solid black rubber soles provide further definition to the model, while the sunny yellow Swooshes, olive forefoot and maroon accents add some subtle colour to the design.
