Keep It Clean With the Black and White Nike Air Max 1

Nike are keeping it simple on the next Air Max 1 iteration, with a smooth black and white colourway. The almost-murdered out design follows a stack of recent AM-1 designs, including the ‘Medium Olive’, ‘Familia’ and ‘Noise Aqua’ – all of them as loud as this one is quiet.

The ‘Black/White/Black’ AM-1 starts with a mesh base that is ensconced in smooth leather overlays that come in two textures. The Swoosh strikes the side in a crisp white, matching the branding on the tongue, insole and heel. The only hint of colour comes on the translucent but slightly blue-tinted Air unit. While the upper is almost entirely one shade, the mixture of materials still adds the element of dimension.

There’s no release date for the Nike Air Max 1 ‘Black/White/Black’, but it is expected to land by the end of the year in men’s sizing for $150.
