The Nike Air Kukini Gets Splattered With Paint!
Another day, another Air Kukini (so it seems!). Nike look to be placing more and more feet in a pair of Air Kukinis in 2022, with new colourways surfacing on the regular. Still considered as obscure in today's sneakersphere as it was when it was first introduced in 1999, the Air Kukini was actually created by Nike's Alpha Project, a team of designers who were dedicated to pushing the envelope of performance and shoe design. Nike Alpha Project creations are famously marked by a sequence of five dots – which can be seen on the modern day iterations of the webbed slip-ons.
The latest Air Kukini to land on the scene is this paint-splattered pair, sure to be a hit among tech enthusiasts, moodboarders and DIYers alike. Striking the perfect balance between being the perfect pair of black (and white midsoled sneakers), and adding that essential hit of colour to your outfit, the 'paint splatter' on the uppers sees pops of pink, orange and variations of blue.
There's currently no release date set for these Nike Air Kukinis, however they can be expected to drop soon.
In the meantime, be sure to read up on the model and check out a brief history of Kukini here!
