Way back in , Japanese designer label briefly previewed their upcoming collaboration, the latest in an ongoing partnership with the Swoosh. The shoes were expected to drop for the Spring Summer 2022 collection, but they’ve still yet to release. However, with the recent emergence of official brand images for the all-white pair, it looks like they’ve not been scrapped just yet.
Among the distinctive features of these AF-1s are the additional neoprene ankle bootie and external heel counter hardware, both borrowed from the cult . UNDERCOVER’s underlined U logo replaces the badge on the front of the bootie. Another outdoors-referencing component of this colab is its lining, as indicated by the forefoot tab, which was obscured in the 2021 preview. So, while this all-white leather build may not look like a practical choice for inclement weather, its retro tech features hiding underneath adequately equip it for all conditions.
