Limited edition sneakers have flooded the market for the past two decades to the point that they feel more common than even general releases. So, it can actually be quite refreshing to pick something up that tends to be a shelf sitter, such as this upcoming Nike Air Force 1 in suede. It’s unlikely there will be queues around the block to scoop a pair, and that’s part of its beauty. Of course, it’s a nice colourway too.

Emerging in suede, this golden brown edition exemplifies the old adage of ‘less is more’ by only featuring white as the other contrast colour. The entire upper is aniline, save for the leather Swoosh and heel tab, which both take on a slightly tumbled texture. This is also met by the tongue and laces, also in the contrasting white. The lining is the same colour, and it’s covered in mesh as per standard. Underfoot, the midsole is simply white with a contrasting outsole. And that’s all that’s needed for a solid colourway. As the silhouette turns 40 and sees various reinventions of its timeless form, sometimes the simplest renditions are the best.

Find this general release Air Force 1 at all good Nike retailers in coming months.
