The Nike Air Force 1 Mid ‘Coconut Milk’ Welcomes Colour
2022 brings an influx of new Nike Air Force 1 colourways because it is the model’s 40th anniversary. One upcoming combo is the ‘Coconut Milk’ Mid, which has a lot going on, but somehow it all seems to work together in harmony.
Suede AF-1 Mids are a relatively uncommon sight, and this edition makes the most of its unusual appearance by using the fuzzy stuff across most of its upper. The toe bumper is bright yellow with a faux reptilian skin texture, while the heel counter and accompanying ankle strap is aniline green. These panels border the mid portion and toe box, which are both in the namesake ‘Coconut Milk’ shade of off-white.
That’s not all for the palette. The orange eyestays are likely leather, but have a textured finish reminiscent of lizard skin; and the bubblegum pink Swoosh and heel tabs are slightly glossy, possibly patent leather. For good measure, the outsoles are also gum brown.
All of these colours are invariably represented on the custom tongue label and insole print, which appear to represent some sort of springtime setting. This would make sense, considering the bright palette.
Keep an eye out for these Air Force 1 Mids to arrive in coming months.
