Long live the legend of the Nike Air Force 1! Debuting in 1982, Bruce Kilgore’s opus is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the heritage hooper seemingly more relevant than ever before.

The first ever basketball sneaker to feature Air technology, the Air Force 1 originally entered pop consciousness with the iconic air strip photo shoot featuring Michael Cooper, Bobby Jones, Moses Malone, Calvin Natt, Mychal Thompson and Jamaal Wilkes.

The latest Air Force 1 model to arrive is very special indeed, the colourway coming with a special golden toothbrush commemorating the silhouette’s 40th birthday. In terms of composition, the Air Force 1 follows a classic blueprint, with white leather uppers graced by black overlays. Grey Swooshes, laces and heels provide definition, while white midsoles and grey rubber outsoles complete the colourway.

Check out the official photos and look for the Nike Air Force 1 Low to release over the coming weeks.
