The ‘Shattered Backboard’ colourway is still one of the most legendary colour palettes from the Jumpman cannon. First released in 2015, the orange and black design paid homage to an iconic moment in 1985, Michael Jordan lacing up for an Italian exhibition game where he scored 30 points and shattered the backboard with a signature dunk.

The ‘Shattered Backboard’ colourway has captured the imagination of sneakerheads ever since, the colour blocking most recently seen on the Air Jordan 5.

It now looks like we’ve got more ‘Shattered Backboard’ love on the way, the Air Force 1 GORE-TEX kitted out in the indelible orange and black composition.

Hot on the heels of an ‘Olive’ reveal, the AF1 is manufactured in materials designed to combat the cold weather, the mesh base and tongues hit with leather overlays which are equipped with GORE-TEX waterproof tech.

Look for the Nike GORE-TEX Air Force 1 to arrive over the coming weeks.

In the meantime, make sure to check out the illustrious history of the colourway.
