Gingham Swooshes Reach the Nike Air Force 1

It’s hard to believe, but Nike’s seminal Air Force 1 is 41 years old, and while it’s been decked out in every colour combo imaginable, Team Swoosh continue to find ways of reinventing their 80s hardwood hero.

Recently, we’ve seen a swathe of epic GR builds, such as the ‘Celestine’ and ‘ATL’. There’s also been a few looks at unreleased pairs, like the upcoming Off-White iteration that references Rasheed Wallace PEs and a never-before-seen Louis Vuitton collaboration. Toning it down slightly for their next venture, Nike have dressed their AF-1 in Gingham Swooshes.

Two colours have been crafted, one in ‘University Blue’ and the other in ‘Mystic Red’, each adorned in full-white leather uppers with all the usual details. Both pairs rock Gingham-patterned Swooshes and heels in their namesake colour, alongside complementary dubrae and tongue branding.

There are no release details for either Gingham-adorned, women’s-exclusive Nike Air Force 1s just yet, but with official images out, we suspect a date won’t be far away.
