Civilist Apparently Have a Nike Air Force 1 Collaboration
Images have emerged of a currently unreleased Nike Air Force 1 collaboration by the hands of Civilist, the German skate store who worked on a similar SB Dunk back in 2020. It looks like this AF-1 is either a sequel to that colab, or it could be a scrapped concept that has somehow made it to a handful of entities, such as Dallas-based store Private Selection, who have shared the shots above.
These Uptowns feature the same thermochromic treatment as the Dunks, meaning the uppers change colour when in contact with heat. These images show this aspect in effect, displaying the same wild rainbow spectrum as the 2020 colab. However, it looks less vibrant than the Dunks as it appears there is a ‘frosted’ layer above the colour.
With more space to work with, there are additional branding elements, namely the Civilist store name printed in all caps on the lateral heel counter, plus smiley face graphics on the tongue. The shoes are finished with white rubber midsoles featuring pink Air branding, joined to gum outsoles.
Peep the images above and stay tuned to see if these ever get a retail release. It does strike as peculiar that a skate store got a basketball shoe collaboration though…
