General release sneakers have to occasionally fight harder to be noticed than their limited edition peers. This can mean they have details that wouldn’t otherwise appear, so sneakerheads with open eyes and minds will be rewarded with these unique pairs. For example, this Nike Air Force 1 may just look like a white and black edition, but a closer look reveals much more.

Yes, the white leather upper and all-black midsole is pretty standard setup, but look again. The Swoosh is actually cut out of the sides and filled with a black lattice weave, reminiscent of faux carbon fibre. This is something that’s not usually found on AF-1s. Neither is the big pull tab on the back, which displays enough Nike branding that the heel panel it’s attached to is left blank. Similarly, the tongue label isn’t the usual rectangular badge, but rather a long of woven tape with additional branding. And completing the colourway is a subtle injection of Tiffany Blue-esque Swooshes on the throat and forefoot.

Expect to see these Air Force 1s on shelves at Nike retailers in coming weeks. The beauty of these is that they have no release date: they’ll be available when they’re available.
