When it comes to 80s basketball sneakers, the Nike Air Alpha Force is a sneaker that has been overlooked compared to its successor, the Alpha Force II. But Nike is showing the sneaker some love and attention to a new generation the sneaker is returning in collaborative form with the help of Billie Eilish as well as in-line colourways such as this Light Bone rendition that’s expected to release later this year.
Leather is typically used on the sneaker but is replaced with an all-suede build, using a tonal look in Light Bone. The signature forefoot strap features Nike branding with the Swoosh seen in a lighter Coconut Milk suede. The same hue featured on the Air Force branding on the tongue alongside an orange basketball. Additional Nike branding is seen stitched on the heel with Light Bone and Coconut Milk making up the sneaker’s midsole and outsole.
The Nike Air Alpha Force 88 ‘Light Bone’ is expected to drop in Fall 2023 via Nike’s channels and at select retailers for $130. Keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for any updates.
In other Nike news, Nike SB team member Rayssa Neal is rumoured to get her own signature sneaker.
