Nike ACG Go Stealth Mode on the Air Mowabb 'Off Noir/Olive Green'
Nike ACG have reintroduced the Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Mowabb with a bang in 2021, bringing back OG colourways like 'Twine', 'Trail End Brown', and 'Birch/Bright Mandarin' while also welcoming new makeups like 'Limestone' into the fold. Now, the Mowabb's ranks are set to grow by one thanks to an 'Off Noir/Olive' style.
Most Mowabbs – at least the classic ones – are known for their bright colours. However, the 'Off Noir/Olive' goes stealth mode, supplying a scheme that's more in line with the technical, future-forward technical vision that Errolson Hugh brought to ACG in the 2010s than the goofy, good-natured, granola-filled products of the early 1990s. 'Off Noir', which is essentially a faded black, meets with a starker black on the upper for a tonal contrast, and the quarter panel's standard suede is swapped out for a synthetic material that supplies an interesting textural twist. 'Olive', which it must be noted looks a lot more like brown in these photos, is mostly used for trim and branded embellishments. Speckled midsoles round off the look.
At the time of writing, a release date for the Nike ACG Air Mowabb 'Off Noir/Olive' has yet to be announced. However, as 2021 is the Mowabb's 30th anniversary we'll likely see it before the year is out. Its MSRP is set at $160.
