Nike ACG Are Bringing Back the 1994 Air Mada
The catalogue is full of countless hidden gems and every now and then they dig through their ever-expanding archive to bring back some old school flavour. This time looking to the mid-90s, the All Conditions Gear team have just resurrected the Air Mada, a lightweight Air-injected hiking shoe from 1994. You may actually recognise this silhouette, and probably because it was reworked back in 2010 and labelled the Air Mada 2K10. While bearing the same moniker as its 90s predecessor, it boasted a much chunkier build.
Designed by Sergio Lazano, the man most famously behind the Air Max 95, the Air Mada was originally only available as a high-top, and later released in mid and low form. Imagery so far dictates that the 2022 release will only be available as a low-top, however that's pending confirmation from Team Swoosh. Interestingly, the first colourway is a far-cry from the 90s combos that the Mada used to don. The whole upper has been doused in simplistic browns and dark greens and we must say… it works! Just like the OG, the updated version also rocks a Nike ReGrind outsole!
Exact release details are scare right now, but keep at eye on your local Nike ACG stockist because they should be hitting shelves soon.
