Nick Young Says He'd Be the Sneaker King If Not for adidas Deal

Many regard PJ Tucker as the king of the NBA sneaker game, but Nick Young has his own opinion on the matter. The former championship winner with Golden State sent out a happy-go-lucky Tweet earlier this week, suggesting that the deal he signed with adidas back in 2015 held him back from claiming the throne.

Slam Kicks had shared a pic of Tucker's custom Nike KD IV iDs from 2012, labelling him the ‘unquestioned sneaker king’. Naturally, ‘Swaggy P’ used the opportunity to take a light-hearted jab at Tucker and stir the pot.

‘That’s because I went /// lol,’ Young Tweeted, referencing his Three Stripes deal.

Young has still managed to turn heads during his time with adidas, rocking Yeezys on court on numerous occasions. However, he’s been spotted in Nikes quite a bit lately – perhaps this latest Tweet means his time with the Stripes is up?
