New York City Welcomes New Concepts Store
Concepts have just opened a new brick-and-mortar location in New York City, situated smack bang in the middle of the bustling Union Square neighbourhood.
The sneaker, skate and streetwear boutique, founded in 1996, opened a NYC-based store in Tribeca five years ago, but this new location on 99 University Place is even bigger. This allows the shelves to carry premium product from regulars including Nike, AMBUSH, Stussy, Jordan Brand, Yeezy, Vans, adidas, and Converse, plus Concepts’ own private label. And the extra shop space allows the introduction of newcomers Infinite Archives, Noreen Seabrook, DJ4Animals, and Vintage American.
Concepts founder and CEO Tarek Hassan said of the new store, ‘We needed a new location in New York City to support our growth and future plans. We’ve always loved the energy around the Union Square neighbourhood – it reminds us a lot of our first Harvard Square location, so when 99 University Place became available, it felt like home for Concepts.’
Earlier this year in October, Concepts bolstered their physical retail presence by opening a new flagship store in their hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. Their brick-and-mortar presence also includes shopfronts in Dubai and China.
