New Short Film Captures Melbourne Skater Richard Moore’s Life and Work

A new has just dropped online, highlighting Melbourne . Directed by Cameron Sparkes and Sam Coady, the three-day shoot follows Moore – diagnosed with a degenerative eye condition at 29 – through his daily life, creative work and time on the board.
Much of the story is set in Fitzroy, Victoria – home to the skatepark that remains key to Moore’s journey. Long thought of as an iconic space for skating community, it serves as both backdrop and lifeline, highlighting the importance of place and people in shaping Moore’s POV.
More than just a portrait of challenge, the film presents Moore as a leader in adaptive skateboarding, using his experience to inspire others and expand what the sport can be. The creative also guides the story using his own voice, speaking with openness and honesty, offering a clear look at how he continues to create and push forward. Beyond a personal profile, the film is a testament to skateboarding as a culture – connecting resilience, creativity and community.
