New Balance’s 2002R ‘Protection Pack’ AKA ‘Refined Future’ was arguably one of 2021s most hyped releases and still to this day cranks plenty of necks when spotted on-foot. One could say it was a decade-defining silhouette, boasting a deconstructed look and tastefully executed colour combinations caused them to catch plenty of attention for a GR. A great success for the NB camp, we weren’t surprised to hear rumours that a second ‘Protection Pack’ was on the way, this time consisting of another three colourways.
‘Mirage Grey’, ‘Dark Navy’ and ‘Vintage Orange’ have all been circling the internet for some time now and are prepped to hit shelves at a select few retailers. Interestingly, a few stores released pairs early, such as Afew, which we reported on back in March this year. The store also dubbed this second coming as the ‘Pig Suede Pack’ thanks to the premium build. You may also recognise some of the colourways as they’re mainstays in NB’s arsenal. The highlight is the ‘Mirage Grey’ which replicates the legendary ,NB1300JP.
A few stores will be stocked come this weekend May 14, including NB Stateside. Head down below to find out where to cop the second New Balance 2002R ‘Protection Pack.
