New Balance Opens 'The Runaway' Pub in London for Runners

Looking for an ice-cold beer after a long run? have got you covered. The Runaway is NB's new pub located in London, catering to the pint-loving pavement pounders.

A collaborative venture with fitness app Strava, the Runaway lets patrons pay for their drinks with the miles they’ve clocked up on a ‘Runaway Card’. The card’s currency can be earned via four different challenges available to app users from February to April, including logging 13 miles to a full 10,000. Two beers each for you and a friend will be awarded for 50 per cent completion of each challenge, with three beers on offer for those who complete challenges in full.

The Runaway won’t just house a regular pub, with a gym and weight training area set to accompany the obligatory bar.

Londoners can hit up The Runaway at 64-68 Charring Cross Road right now, with miles redeemable from February 24 onwards. More info here.
