New Balance Adds New ‘Factory of the Future’ to Massachusetts
Methuen, Massachusetts will be home to new ‘Factory of the Future’, according to NB Chairman Jim Davis.
As reported by local news outlet , this next American location makes a total of six factories producing Made in USA footwear – and the first factory that NB have opened in over 20 years.
NB will fill their recently purchased factory with 60 workers in a 7400+ square metre space, with emphasis on new manufacturing techniques, 3D printing technology, and R&D. So, we shouldn’t expect the volume of Made product to explode overnight, but we might see some exciting developments in the coming seasons!
This factory and its workers add to the 1300+ strong workforce, and three factories in Maine – plus one each in Brighton and Lawrence.
New Balance will be a brand to keep an even closer eye on now and into the future.
