NEIGHBORHOOD Land An adidas Adimatic Collaboration

Japanese streetwear OGs NEIGHBORHOOD are extending their long relationship with adidas with two takes on the Adimatic retro skate shoe. Spotted by local blog sneakerhack, this collab is the latest effort by Far East entities, including atmos and HUMAN MADE.

The Adimatic is an appropriate pick for NBHD, whose previous sneaker projects have overlapped with the skate world. This model was born circa 1996 – just two years after the brand’s founding. For this crossover, NBHD use their usual brand colours of black and grey smattered across the Adimatic’s suede upper. The predominately black pair takes a straightforward two-tone approach with grey accents, while the other pair in the pack opts for multiple shades of grey and adds a contrasting mudguard. Furthermore, the shoe’s distinct sawtooth detailing on the toe and heel bumpers is the perfect conduit for NBHD’s triangular motif that they’ve used on previous sneaker collabs. There also looks to be some custom text printed on the lateral sidewalls of the midsole, but until the collaborators officially announce the release, what it reads remains unknown.

Stay tuned for the inevitable reveal of this upcoming NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Adimatic – potentially coming within weeks.
