More Nike Gyakusou ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% Colabs Revealed
Following the cryptic teaser posted by , the brand’s spinoff label – in collaboration with – has confirmed at least two releases are coming. One is the previously seen red edition, and the other is a new predominately teal colourway. Both are believed to be a modified version of the performance runner.
These official e-comm pics help corroborate some previously speculated details. For example, the ZoomX midsole is definitely lifted from the ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT%, and the uppers have been tweaked to Gyakusou specifications. Some of these changes are purely cosmetic: for example, dark contrast bands on the toe box seem in part to provide structural support (even though the regular field-tested Vaporfly doesn’t need them) but also reference the multilayered build of techy 2010s runners. Other mods appear more performance oriented, such as the alternate eyelet arrangement, reinforced medial strapping, and varied mesh patterns.
On the colourway front, these are distinctly Gyakusou efforts, thanks to bold contrasting tones like bright red and navy blue, and teal green with maroon. And even if the less initiated can’t tell from those palettes, the copious Gyakusou and UNDERCOVER logos will make it clear who’s behind it all.
