MM6 Maison Margiela Continues Salomon Partnership With XT-4 Mule

Maison Margiela’s diffusion line MM6 has been causing plenty of ruckus in the fashionsphere and sneakerverse over the past few years, thanks to their unorthodox Salomon collaborations. Following the hybrid Salomon Cross, famously worn by Rihanna during her Super Bowl performance, the duo have returned for a collection that features an unlikely mule take on the famous XT-4.

The Salomon XT-4 silhouette has garnered plenty of fame on its own, with its image bolstered via the infamous Instagram moodboard zeitgeist, and with the mulement reaching mainstream heights of success, it makes sense to convert the model into a backless beauty. The usual details are present on this pair, including toggle Quicklace system, midsole tech and moulded upper – the only change seems to be the heel removal. Alongside the XT-4 Mule – which will release in multiple colourways – the duo are also working on the X-DESALPES model.
