The free throw went down on March 31, 1992, right at the end of a game in which the Chicago Bulls ultimately beat the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. With just 14 seconds left until the final buzzer, Jordan took to the line after being fouled for a free throw, where he closed his eyes to take the shot – taunting , a star Knicks player.
