Nike have gone HAM with hybrids in the lead up to Air Max Day. Think Air VaporMax Plus, Air Max 270 and Sean Wotherspoon's Air Max 1/97 etc. With this fusion theme in mind, graphic designer Chad Manzo has conjured up a selection of Max mashup concepts. The result is a diverse mix of heritage and hype.
Manzo breathes new life into the Air Max2 Light and Air Max 96 with Air 180 and Air Max Plus sole units respectively. He also puts his own spin on colabs by Virgil Abloh and ACRONYM, reimagining the latter's Presto colab with an Air Max 93 heel bubble and the most recent Off-White x Air Jordan 1 with an Air Max 270 sole unit.
Sadly, the designs are just digital concepts and not yet destined for shelves at this stage. Hopefully, Nike takes note and puts some of the best into production in time for Air Max Day 2019!,
