Master P Says His New Sneaker Brand is the 'Bugatti of Shoes'
Percy Miller, AKA Master P, is looking to change the for the better with his new brand MoneYatti, a venture he has dubbed the ‘Bugatti of shoes’.
Speaking with , the legendary rapper and businessman revealed that he wanted to created a brand that allowed African Americans to ‘create and design’ more sneakers.
‘As a businessman, my strategy is to look for a problem and then solve it,’ says Master P. ‘I thought to myself, why aren’t any of us creating this… When we started MoneYatti we said this couldn’t look like anything else out there.’
Well, he’s not far off, with the current lineup of MoneYatti models taking on a distinct maximal aesthetic, typified with unique animalistic prints and vibrant schemes. Custom handcrafted in Italy using Italian leather, the sneaker lineup looks to cater to those hankering for bit of a luxe.
Having played a brief stint in the NBA, Master P knows a thing or two about basketball, and he says MoneYatti is going to look to the game’s up-and-comers for endorsements.
‘No one is looking to sign the 6th man, but sometimes they become stars, look at James Harden,’ he says. ‘He went from being a 6th man on the Thunder to being an MVP on the Rockets. Imagine getting a star like that before they blow up.’
