Thanks to founder Youssouf Fofana's seamless blending of African heritage and Parisian craftsmanship, Maison Château Rouge has exploded in popularity since it was founded in 2015 – even landing two Jordan Brand colabs, the latest of which is a luxurious Air Jordan 2. First revealed earlier in the month, the Maison Château Rouge x Air Jordan 2 garnered acclaim for its luxurious details that seem to nod to both hand-made craftsmanship and dress footwear, special insoles and earthy colour palette. Now, an on-foot look at the forthcoming style has surfaced via @yankeekicks.

The shoe's cream base is accented by hits of brown, orange and yellow, with special details including brogue-like trim, patterned overlays, tongues with hand-stitched detailing and co-branded heel tabs/tongue tags. However, the embellishment that seems to have garnered the shoe the most attention so far is its insole, which features a duo of highly-detailed illustrations centred around Michael Jordan. The first of these shows Jordan surrounded by a 'United Youth International' crest, while the other shows him soaring through the air for the famed cradle reverse dunk he threw down in the 1985 Slam Dunk Contest! Interestingly (and accurately), MJ is wearing the Air Jordan 1 'Bred' in the second illustration!

At the time of writing, a release date for the Maison Château Rouge x Air Jordan 2 has yet to be announced, though rumours of a June arrival have begun to swirl. It also may be limited to only 1,200 pairs! Keep it locked to SF for more info as soon as it's made available.
