Made For Skate Book

Made For Skate Book 1

With the amount of books being released on streetwear, sneakers, graffiti and the scene as a whole, finding an extensively well-researched encyclopedia of the culture can seem like an endless task. After featuring Made For Skate’s Juergen and Daniel in our vintage-inspired of Sneaker Freaker here, the fellas have amassed their traveling roadshow of beat up skate kicks and bound them together into a chunk of a book, Made For Skate: The Illustrated History of Skateboard Footwear.

With over 400 pages of every skate shoe imaginable, the duo have done the skate scene justice with a plethora of mouth watering vintage brands from Makaha to Hang Ten, Kid Power to Hobie. The evolution of the way skaters use and abuse their sneakers is just part of what makes this book so genius. Add to that the historical text and delectable images, this is a definite must have for anyone remotely interested in the history of skateboarding. Thanks to our good friends at Gingko Press, we received our copy in the mail, and it’s already soaked in Sneaker Freaker drool!

Check the Made For Skate website for more information.
