LVMH Acquires a Stake in Aimé Leon Dore

LVMH x Aime Leon Dore

LVMH has acquired a stake in Aimé Leon Dore via their Luxury Ventures division. Per the deal, the luxury goods conglomerate has obtained a minority stake in the brand, with the financial details of the arrangement still currently under wraps.

As reported by WWD, the investment will assist ALD in expanding internationally, and they're already being primed to set up shop with a boutique in London around March this year. Furthermore, it was ALD's cultural relevance, community-building know-how, refined approach and sophisticated campaigns which underpinned LVMH's interest in ALD.

ALD's founder, Teddy Santis said in a statement, 'LVMH’s vast network of global leaders across the industry and its rich history in growing exceptional storied brands offers a truly unique partnership opportunity to fuel the next chapter of growth for Aimé Leon Dore.'

2022 is looking to be mega for Santis, who is officially kicking off his role as New Balance's Made in USA Creative Director this year. The news was initially announced early last year and while it is still unclear what will eventuate, their collaborations so far have never struggled to achieve critical acclaim.
