Louis Vuitton have announced a series of events to celebrate the launch of the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 designed by the late Virgil Abloh, with a number of art installations in New York City.

From May 20 until May 31, all 47 editions of the Air Force 1 (originally presented as part of the Spring-Summer 2022 Men’s Collection) will be on display for Louis Vuitton and Nike “Air Force 1” by Virgil Abloh at Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse in New York City.

The expansive exhibition is set to chart Abloh’s creative pathway toward the Spring-Summer 2022 collection, with the entire collection displayed in both physical and virtual forms.

Wrapping the entire warehouse in vivid orange, the exhibition will feature the sneakers in motion on magnetised walls and in holographic displays, emphasising Abloh's surrealist, futuristic design vernacular.

During the run of the exhibition, large glass boxes will be placed around New York City that will display graphic globe sculptures tied to the themes of the showcase. These glass installations will be featured at Domino Park, Grand Central, South Street Seaport, Astor Place, Columbus Circle, Flatiron Plaza and Gansevoort Plaza.
