London Nike Mag Auction Won With Another Crazy Bid
After a pair of Mags fetched over $100k at the Hong Kong auction, another pair has gone for a crazy amount in London. Co-owner of , Riz Ahmed, managed to take the win with a bid for $56,800 USD. True, it’s not quite the six figure mark – but it’s still a huge amount of money to throw down. Any sting to Riz’s pocket will of course be soothed with the knowledge that he’s been immensely helpful to the Micheal J. Fox Foundation. And, who knows, maybe we’ll get another video of a playing astronaut in the coming weeks.
If you’ve come up empty handed in your quest for Mags, and your pockets are feeling particularly swole, there’s still one more chance to cop. The New York auction will be taking place at the Michael J. Fox benefit gala on November 12, and is likely to provide a bidding climate that’ll put even bigger numbers on the boards.
