LeBron James' fourth season as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers is underway, and there's a lot of 'new' for the King as he looks to bring another NBA Championship to the City of Angels. He's got a new teammate in Russell Westbrook, a new City Edition Lakers jersey, and, to match that new jersey, a new 'Hardwood Classic' take on his latest signature Nike sneaker, the LeBron 19.

Though it may not be as colourful as past styles like the LeBron 7 'Hardwood Classic,' this take on the King's 19th signature sneaker is not lacking for Laker pride. Its hybrid articulated cushioning setup (Zoom Air in the forefoot, Max Air in the heel) takes on a regal purple shade, while dashes of gold are sprinkled around most of the branded hits and more purple is splattered atop the heel overlays. There's also small pops of powder blue, inspired by the jerseys the Lakers wore while playing in their original home of Minneapolis, Minnesota. All of these embellishments stand out atop a black upper with a white grid pattern.

Nike have been tight-lipped when it comes to release plans for the LeBron 19, but as the 2021-22 NBA season recently tipped off, we may well see the 'Hardwood Classic' hit retailers before the year is out. Expect to cough up an even $200 if you'd like to get your hands on a pair.
