Update (March 31, 2022): When the Kyrie Irving x Nike Dunk Low was first revealed, it was a bit of a rough stretch for the mercurial Irving, as he was banned from playing in Nets home games. Now, however, he's been cleared to play in home contests – and official images of his Dunk Low have been revealed. 2022 has been a topsy-turvy year for superstar Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving. He's not allowed to play in Nets home games due to his vaccination status and his team is scrapping for a spot in the NBA Playoffs' play-in schedule. However, there are brighter days ahead for Irving, his team and his footwear. Irving's teammate Kevin Durant recently stated that he thinks the Nets' championship window will be open for several more seasons, and Irving himself, who said last year that he thinks his Kyrie 8 sneakers with Nike are 'trash,' is dropping a Dunk Low that was just revealed by sneaker leaker @woganwodeyang.
Though Irving played his college hoops at Duke, his low-cut Dunk takes on the tones of archrival UNC, combining white and powder blue tones on its forefoot and midfoot. It's injected with a dose of patterned pale yellow towards the heel, and gets a second shot of flair via crimson Kyrie branding on the tongue plus a red Nike hit on the heel tab. A final jab of style is provided by the salmon outsole, which sits under a white midsole with powder blue contrast stitching.
At the time of writing, there's no official word on this shoe's inspiration or when it will release. However, you can keep it locked right here to SF for updates as soon as they're made available.
