If you're looking for another reason to drink a glass of Kobe Bryant hatorade, or if you're a fan who just loves to recite the numbers in his defence, the NBA has announced that the Los Angeles Lakers' scoring machine owns the right to say that his No. 24 Lakers uniform is the most popular jersey. The list, based on combined sales from the NBA's flapship Store in New York City and NBAStore.com, is taken from the start of the 2009-10 NBA regular season through to its conclusion in April 2010. It has also been reported that both stores have recorded a combined increase of 20 percent over the previous sales period, which marks its highest sales year, ever. Interestingly, 13 of the 15 players mentioned in this season's Top 15 Best Selling Jerseys list are competing in the 2010 Playoffs. Not surprisingly, the NBA's scoring champion, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant debuts in the top 10. Kobe's popularity has also seen the Lakers' merchandise remain the most popular among fans, a title held by Jerry Buss' franchise for seven out of the last eight seasons.
