Kith Expected to Throw Open the Doors of New Seoul Flagship

sneaker newssneaker news

Kith have been a stalwart of the sneaker industry for well over a decade. Founded by collaborative kingpin Ronnie Fieg, the NYC imprint now boast 13 bricks-and-mortar stores all designed in collaboration with Snarkitecture – a NYC-based collaborative practice founded by Daniel Arsham and Alex Mustonen. Some of the slickest stores you’ll ever see in the field of fashion, it now looks like Kith will be throwing open the doors to a brand new flagship in Seoul this year, with leaks online already showing the alleged store location.

A cultural epicentre for sneakerheads in the 21st century, Seoul has of course become a retail mecca in recent years. With Supreme among several stores also planting their flag in Seoul in 2023, Korean culture has exploded across the globe, with K-Drama, K-Pop, K-Beauty and K-fashion all helping the region shape its streetwear culture. As artist Rudyindahouse says, ‘South Korea has now attracted worldwide attention.’

Expected to open in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, the new store will also reportedly host Sadelle’s, the New York City brunch institution (featuring quintessential menu classics like bagels, sliced-to-order salmon and chopped salads).

While no official confirmation has yet come from Kith, make sure to keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.
