After nearly nine years in the making, Kings Way: The Beginnings of Australian Graffiti: Melbourne 1983–93 is nearing its release. With over 1200 full colour images it chronicles the evolution of Melbourne’s dynamic scene, from the earliest tags to the full-blown masterpieces. Written and compiled by the very writers responsible it promises to be a true insider’s account of the era. According to Duro Cubrilo, one of the driving forces behind the project, “die hard graffiti writing and old-school fans out there will be gobsmacked!”
Publisher Miegunyah Press will be releasing two editions of the volume: a general edition plus a pair of signed limited editions complete with their own protective slipcase made from old-school spray cans.
