Kevin Durant Will Stay With Nike
A week ago it didn't even seem to be up for debate, Kevin Durant would be mad not to take Under Armour's offer of up to $285 million and there was no way Nike would play moneytalk in that heady ballpark. After all, Nike only turned a profit on KD's much smaller first deal last year, so making a profit off shoe sales after paying the reigning MVP 30 mil a year would prove nearly impossible. Under Armour probably didn't even want to profit, they would use KD as a loss leader, a champion to help establish their name in basketball sneakers for decades to come. Nike must have felt the threat, because they've re-signed Durant in what's believed to be a mega deal of up to $300 million, if he continues to perform well on the court. Whoah. Read more about it at ESPN, and look forward to more Nike KD sneaks coming at cha soon.
