After Kasina revealed their mandarin duck-inspired Air Max 1 colab with Nike earlier in the month, it's now been revealed that the two partners worked on more than one colourway! Joining the previously-revealed colourway is a new makeup that retains all the detail of its predecessor but opts for a much more muted colour scheme.

Revealed by Japanese sneaker outlet Fullress, the second Kasina x Nike Air Max 1 uses wolf grey, dark blue and black shades to great effect across its highly-textured upper. Most of the shoe's flair comes from its medley of materials, which includes pony hair, shaggy suede, tumbled leather, a wool-like textile and even cork, which is used on the insoles. The South Korean brand have added plenty of spicy special branding as well, thanks to custom tongue labels, woodgrain-inspired lace debures, and a floral mini Swoosh on the midfoot.

If you saw the last pair, you're familiar with all of these details – if not the colours – used on this second pair but this new set of shots reveals plenty of fresh embellishments. The Kasina x Nike Air Max 1's most direct callout to its ornithological inspiration arrives via a not-previously-seen embroidered duck graphic on the heel and a special duck pattern under the translucent outsoles. Lastly, the shoe's box features a geometric pattern.

There's also a special friends-and-family plastic box that nods to Kasina's 25th anniversary and their partnership with Nike. It features ducks in the colour of both Air Max 1 colabs on its lid, a salute to the set of wooden ducks that is often given as a gift at South Korean weddings – as they represent commitment, fidelity and fertility.

We're still awaiting word on a release date, but enjoy the images above in the meantime and keep it locked right here for more info as it's made available.
