Kanye West Files to Trademark 'YZYSPLY'

It's been relatively quiet on the Kanye West front lately, but many things seem to be brewing away under the surface.

Recently, West has made developments within his Yeezy/Donda empire, announcing that designer Steven Smith would be taking on the role as Head of Donda Industrial Design. Having played a crucial role within the Yeezy footwear line, Smith has designed the Yeezy Powerphase, Yeezy BOOST 700 and the Foam Runner, holding the title of Yeezy's Executive Designer.

The latest reports signify something potentially major for West on clothing and footwear front, with his legal team having filed to trademark 'YZYSPLY', for retail stores, online ordering services and online retail store services. What sounds like an extension of West's Yeezy Supply, according to TMZ, the filing is all encompassing and includes everything from shirts, tennis wear, to certain undergarments and accessories like hats, headwear, socks and of course, footwear.

Whether or not this new venture will make Yeezy pieces more accessible to a wider range of customers is yet to be seen. Keep it locked to SF for updates.

In other Ye news, the multi-hyphenate recently took aim at adidas over the new Adilette 22 slides, claiming that they were fake Yeezy Slides.
